Nissan Altima 2002-2006 Sedan Polished Stainless Gas Door Trim (GC22550)
Fits the Nissan Altima 4-door sedan, 2002 through 2006. GC22550 is a single polished stainless overlay that covers the face of the fuel door. The steel is 26 gauge 304 stainless, the part is made in the USA, and it mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape.

Mounting
The 2002-2006 Altima trim fits over the existing gas door; nothing is drilled or removed. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime and not harm the vehicle's surface.
Paint first
Look at the fuel door's paint before you begin. On a car from these years, check it for fading or chips. The tape bonds to that paint, so fix any flaking or peeling first. The door should also latch and sit flush.
Install
Wash and rinse the door face, then wipe it with degreaser and let it dry. Close the door. Holding the trim in place with its liner on, look at the gap around the edge and shift it until the gap is uniform. Mark the position on the body with painter's tape. Peel and set the trim, then press firmly over all of it. After a minute, press again. Open the door to check it clears. The Installation tab gives the full process.
Order of work
If you're planning the twelve-piece handle set or the combined rocker kit too, do the gas door first. It's one flat part with nothing to line up against a matching piece, so it's a relaxed way to learn the peel-and-press routine before the bigger jobs.
Conditions and care
Dry, mild weather, and no water overnight. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth. Wipe up fuel drips.
