Paint and door check
Look over the fuel door's paint for chips, fading, or lifting clear coat, and repair any problems first; the tape bonds directly to that paint. The door should swing freely and sit flush.
The install
Wash, rinse, degrease, and dry the door face. With the door shut, hold the trim in place with its liner on and shift it until the paint border is even all around. Use painter's tape on the body to mark the spot. Peel the liner, set the piece on the mark, and press firmly across the entire surface. Press again after a minute. Alignment help
Ask someone to hold the trim while you stand back. Look straight on and from an angle, and adjust in small moves.

Polished 304 stainless, mirror-bright. 26 gauge is thin sheet, keeping the overlay low on the door.
Weather and care
Mild, dry day; keep it dry overnight. Then gentle soap and a soft cloth, with a quick wipe for fuel splashes.
Fog light trim and the gas door
FV27550 is one of the less common matches on this sheet: two pieces of fog light trim for the sedan. With this gas door accent as well, it puts polished detail at the Altima's front and side without a full window or rocker kit.
