Ten pieces of 304 stainless
The ten Altima upper trim and pillar pieces are cut in the USA from polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel and set over the existing surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. Per QAA, that tape will hold for a lifetime with no harm to the sedan.
Preparing the sedan
Wash and dry the Altima. Before cleaning, check the frame tops and pillars for flaking paint or old adhesive before cleaning; the tape needs a sound surface. Then wipe each strip with a wax-and-grease remover and isopropyl alcohol just before its piece goes on.
Fitting door by door
Fit the upper trim first, then the pillar pieces beneath it. Dry fit each with the liner on, mark both ends with painter's tape and open and close the door to check clearance. Peel a short length of liner, set the end and press along the piece.
After the job
No washing for a day. Afterwards, soap and a soft cloth keep the polish clean. If a piece won't follow the car as the photos show, leave it unbonded and call 877-752-3811.
