GC46135 is listed for the Chevrolet Impala from 2006 to 2013 and the Chevrolet Impala Limited from 2014 to 2016, both 4-door sedans. Mounting
GC46135 installs directly over the existing surface; there's no drilling. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Paint condition matters, so inspect the gas door for flaking or faded clear coat, edge chips, and bubbles, and repair those first. The door should close flush.
Fitting
Wash, rinse and dry the door, then wipe it with degreaser. Position the trim on the closed door with its liner still in place, centering it so the paint border looks even, and mark the spot with painter's tape. Peel the liner, align to the marks, and press hard across the entire face. Press again a minute later and open the door slowly to check it clears. The Installation tab has the details.
Finish and care
Polished 304 stainless reflects light brightly; at 26 gauge it stays thin. Install on a mild, dry day and keep it dry overnight. Clean with gentle soap and a soft cloth, and wipe off fuel drips.
