Lexus RX350 / RX450 2010-2015 Stainless Gas Door Cover Trim, 1 Piece (GC10125)
GC10125 is a single polished stainless trim piece for the gas door of the Lexus RX350 and RX450, model years 2010 through 2015. Before anything else, the important warning from the catalog: this is not a replacement cap. You must have the existing gas door on the vehicle to install this piece. It's trim that goes over the outside of your fuel door, not a new door or a gas cap.
What it does
Gas door cover trim is a polished stainless overlay for the outer face of the fuel door. It attaches with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape and installs directly over the existing surface, so your factory door stays in place and keeps working as it always has. Nothing is drilled. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle.

Preparing the fuel door
Open the gas door and clean around its edges, then close it and clean the outer face. Wash, rinse, and wipe with degreaser, paying attention to any wax buildup. Look for chips or peeling paint, since the tape bonds to the paint. Let it dry completely.
Lining it up
With the liner on, set the trim on the closed door and check the gap at every edge. It should look even all the way around. Mark a couple of reference points with painter's tape on the body next to the door. Peel the liner, align, and press firmly over the whole face. Press again after a minute. Open and close the door gently to make sure it moves freely. The Installation tab has full prep.

It's a small, quick job that puts a polished detail on the RX350's side without touching how you refuel.
