Prep the surface
Wash the door face, rinse, and wipe it down with degreaser. Wax left on the paint is the most common reason tape doesn't grab, so take your time. Let it dry completely.
Line it up
Close the door and hold the trim in place with the liner on. Look for an even margin around it, then mark the spot on the body with painter's tape. Peel, align, and press firmly over the entire face. Press again after a minute. Open and close the door slowly to make sure it clears. The Installation tab has full steps.
Checking the door
Before cleaning, open and close the fuel door a few times. It should swing freely and sit flush when closed. If the paint on it is chipped, repair that first.
Weather
Install on a mild, dry day and keep the door dry overnight.
Ongoing care
Mild soap and a soft cloth keep it clean and bright. Wipe off fuel drips at the pump.
