Getting it on
Start by taking the plate off. Wash, rinse and dry the plate area, then go over it with rubbing alcohol until a clean cloth comes away clean. Inspect for chips or residue from an old frame. Hold the bezel in position, liner still on, and check from a few steps back that the margins look even all round. A few painter's tape marks hold the position. Peel the liner, set the bezel, and press it firmly along every edge. A second pass a minute later helps. Put the plate back and avoid slamming the trunk for the first day. Year and plate frame
