Prep
Wash the rockers, clay off bonded grit, touch up chips and let them cure, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol until a clean cloth stays clean.
A guide line
Measure up from the rocker's lower edge at several points under each door and run painter's tape along the marks.
Placing
Liner on, lay the piece to the guide and check it from the front of the SUV. A helper holding the far end keeps it off the paint. Peel a few inches, press across the full width, and continue.
Matching
Repeat the first piece's start and end points on the second Outlander piece.
Supplies
For the Outlander you'll want car soap, a clay bar, touch-up paint, isopropyl alcohol, lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a tape measure.
