Standard Escalade, not ESV or EXT
The fitment names the Escalade with a plain "4-door, SUV" tag. The ESV and EXT have their own Upper Kit, TH47257, with the same width and piece count, and it isn't linked to this one. Six inches down from the molding
The top edge of each piece sits against the bottom of the side molding and the steel runs six inches down. Two checks: the molding must be on every door and secure, and there needs to be close to six inches of door below it. Measure a front and a rear door before ordering. Material
On the 2007-2014 Escalade, four 6" strips of polished 26 gauge 304 stainless from a USA shop are pressed on under the molding using 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. Per QAA, the tape will hold for a lifetime and the Cadillac's paint stays unharmed.
Prep a tall band
Wash the doors, rinse, and dry. Then wipe the full six inches below the molding with isopropyl alcohol, working into the corner where molding meets paint. Re-secure any loose molding; it isn't included.
Installing
Hold each piece with painter's tape, its top edge tight to the molding, and step back to check. Peel a few inches of liner, set one end, and press along as you pull the rest. A wide piece needs firm pressure across its whole face, not just along the edges.
Following the molding
Sight along the Escalade when you're done. The top edges should track the molding across both door gaps.
