Install it right
On the Altima or Maxima, the eight accents mount with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape over the existing surface. QAA says that tape will hold for a lifetime with no harm to the sedan's surface. Prep is what makes the difference:
- Degrease each handle area to remove oils and old wax.
- Give the paint time to dry fully.
- Match the pieces to their doors by comparing them with the photos.
- Dry-fit with liners on, then peel and press firmly for a few seconds.

Because QAA lists the same eight-piece set for both cars, an owner with an Altima from the listed years and another with an early Maxima order the same part. The instructions and photos apply to both.
Stainless versus chrome
Polished stainless and chrome plated plastic look similar from a distance, but they are different materials. This set is solid stainless steel, made in the USA, which some owners prefer for its metal feel and finish. If you already have chrome trim on the car, the two will sit together well, though the shine may differ slightly up close.
