Product Description
Saturn Ion Sedan 2005-2007 Grille Insert Package, 8-Piece Polished Stainless (SG45410)
SG45410 is an eight-piece polished stainless grille insert package for the Saturn Ion 4-door sedan, 2005 through 2007. The Ion's linked parts include a hood accent with a logo, which pairs naturally with a grille set, along with two letter/emblem listings whose notes don't match their names. QAA describes the eight pieces as an insert package for the Ion sedan.
Sedan, three years
The fitment names the 4-door sedan for 2005, 2006 and 2007, no trim exclusions. QAA lists a separate pillar kit for the Ion Quad Coupe (PP45412), but this grille package's record lists only the sedan. Quad Coupe owners should call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811.
Eight pieces, construction
Each piece is 304 stainless steel in 26-gauge with a mirror polish, made in the USA, with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. Installation is over the existing surface. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing damage to the vehicle surface. The record calls it an "Insert Package" and gives no layout or sizes.

Two confusing letter listings
SGR45410 is named five-piece "SATURN" rear bumper letter inserts, but its note reads "HIGHLANDER" logo decal. SGR45411 is named a two-piece logo emblem, but its note mentions "MUSTANG" letter inserts. Those notes look like catalog carry-overs. Look at the photos and call before ordering either.
Hood accent and grille together
If you fit HD45410, install the grille inserts first, then the hood accent, and sight both from straight ahead before the hood piece's liner comes off.
Laying out eight pieces
Arrange the inserts on a towel to match the photos. Tape each one up with liners on, check spacing from a few steps away, and number the liners.
Preparation
An Ion of these years can carry years of wax. Wash, rinse the grille openings, dry fully, and use a residue-free solvent on each landing spot until the cloth comes back clean. Call before installing on chalky or flaking plastic.
Mounting
Center outward, one piece at a time: peel, align, press firmly. Then a final pass over every edge. Mild, dry, shaded weather is best. See the Installation tab.
Afterward
No washing for a few days; then mild soap and a soft cloth. Polished 304 can be buffed back with a light polish. The grille stays as built.
Before ordering
Check three things: the sedan body, a year from 2005 to 2007, and a factory grille free of cracks or repairs. If you want the full front treatment, decide on the hood accent now so both parts arrive together and can be mocked up side by side.

Installation tips: Front Grille Accent Trim
- Unpack all 8 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
