Product Description
Dodge Intrepid 1998-2005 Pillar Post Trim, Four Polished Covers (PP42910)
PP42910 is a four-cover pillar set for the Dodge Intrepid sedan, listed for 1998 through 2005. Each cover is polished 26 gauge 304 stainless, made in the USA, and the set costs $56.99. The one fitment row reads Dodge Intrepid 1998-2005, tagged 4-door, Sedan.
Eight model years share that row, all for the four-door sedan. Your records should show both an Intrepid year in that span and the sedan body. Anything outside it isn't covered by the listing, so check with us first if you're unsure.
Three other parts are linked to the Intrepid row, all sold separately: PP42911, the six-cover pillar set; DH42910, a door handle accent trim; and GC42910, a single gas door cover trim. None of them comes with PP42910.
Deciding between this four-cover set and PP42911 comes down to the photos, because neither listing has notes, post names or widths. Count the shapes in both galleries and match them to your Intrepid's posts. If the four here cover the posts you want, order this one; if you'd like the six, choose PP42911.

The covers are appearance trim. Each sits on a post next to the side glass, and the Dodge's doors, windows and weatherseals carry on as usual. Type 304 stainless resists corrosion because of its alloy; there's no plating to chip.
All four mount with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape straight onto the posts' current paint or trim. You won't drill the car or remove any trim. The temperature range and the cure time are on the Installation tab.
Preparation decides how well the tape grips. Strip wax and polish from each post, and repair any chalky, crazed or lifting paint before you begin. Wash with car soap, rinse, dry the posts completely, and wipe them with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths, turning to a fresh fold until the cloth stays clean. Check for dents and old repairs while you're at it, since a polished cover won't hide them.
Line up car soap, a bucket, rubbing alcohol, lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil. A second person a few steps away can tell you whether each cover looks square on its post.
Pick a shaded, calm and dry day. Check the four against the gallery and call us if any is bent or missing. With the liner on, place a cover on the post its photo shows, adjust it until the edges are even, and outline it in painter's tape. Peel the liner, set the cover in the outline and press firmly along its length and down both edges. Step back, compare with the photo, and then do the next.
Should an Intrepid cover refuse to sit flush, don't force it. Keep its liner on and phone 877-752-3811 so we can sort it out together. After the cure, wash the four with car soap and water and dry them with a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 4 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
