Product Description
Six-Piece Pillar Post Trim, Dodge Intrepid Sedan 1998-2005 (PP42911)
For the 1998-2005 Dodge Intrepid, PP42911 is the six-cover pillar post set. It's $67.99, and all six covers are polished 26 gauge 304 stainless, made in the USA. Its fitment row is Dodge Intrepid 1998-2005, carrying the tags 4-door, Sedan.
Fit. Only the four-door sedan is named, across eight model years. Check that your records show an Intrepid from 1998 to 2005 with that body. If it doesn't, or the paperwork isn't clear, call before you order.
Related listings. PP42910 is the four-cover pillar set for the same row. Two more Intrepid trims are linked: DH42910, a door handle accent trim, and GC42910, a gas door cover trim. Each is a separate purchase with its own page.
Choosing six or four. There are no notes, post names or measurements on either pillar listing. Number each of the six shapes in this gallery and find a post on your Dodge for each, then go through the four-cover photos the same way. Pick the set whose shapes cover the posts you want in polished steel.

Role. These six are cosmetic. They cover posts by the side windows and leave the doors, glass and seals working as normal. The 304 alloy, not a surface plating, gives the corrosion resistance.
Mounting. 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape bonds each to the post's existing finish. The Intrepid doesn't get drilled and keeps its trim. Look at the Installation tab for the temperature range and the cure time before you start.
Preparing six posts. The tape sticks only as well as the top layer allows, so remove wax and polish and repair chalky, crazed or peeling paint. Wash with car soap, rinse, let dry, then wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths, changing to clean cloth until nothing more comes up. Note any dents; under polished steel even a shallow one is easy to see.
Supplies. Car soap, a bucket, rubbing alcohol, a large stack of lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil. With six covers to place on the Intrepid, it's worth asking someone to stand back and judge the lines.
Putting them on. Shade, dry air, little wind. Lay out the six against the gallery and contact us about anything damaged or missing. Pencil each cover's post onto a strip of painter's tape, based on its photo. Liner on, hold it to that post and slide it until the margin is even, then tape the outline. Peel, seat the cover in the outline and press hard along its length and both edges. Look again from a few feet back before the next.
Not seating? Leave the liner on any cover that rocks and call 877-752-3811 before going further. Once cured, the six wash with car soap and water and dry with a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
