What the covers do is purely visual. Each slim panel sits over a post between the side windows, and the sedan's doors, glass and seals carry on untouched. The 304 grade resists corrosion through its own chemistry rather than a plated surface.
Each cover mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. It bonds to the TSX's posts as they are now, so you won't be drilling or prising off trim. The Installation tab sets out the temperature range and cure time.
That bond depends on the existing finish, so check all four posts closely. A chalky trace on your fingertip, a lattice of fine cracks, an edge starting to lift, or a sheen of wax should each be sorted first. Then wash with car soap, rinse, dry, and wipe the posts with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths until a fresh one stays spotless.
You'll need car soap and a bucket, rubbing alcohol, a few lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil. A helper a few paces from the Acura can tell you whether the covers match. Polished stainless is used for all four of the TSX's covers.
