Repair any paint that's chalky, crazed or flaking. Wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cloth, refolding to a clean face until it stays clean, and run a fingertip along each one to check for dents. Have low-tack painter's tape and a pencil ready.
On a dry, still day in the shade, unpack the four and compare them with their photos, letting us know right away about any damage. Mark which post each cover belongs to with a numbered strip of tape. Keeping the liner on, set the first cover in place, slide it until the reveal is even and outline it in tape. Peel the liner, put the cover back inside the outline and press firmly along its length and both edges. Check it from a step back before the next.
A Malibu cover that tips at one end, or leaves a sliver of a gap along its edge, shouldn't be pressed harder or trimmed. Put it down on a clean towel with its liner still on and ring us at 877-752-3811. When the tape under the others has cured, wash all four with car soap and water and dry them with a soft towel.
