Prep

Placement
Compare the four covers with the photos. Keep the liners on while you hold each one up, check the edges trace the pillar, and outline the spot with small strips of painter's tape. Peel the first liner, align the cover with your marks and press firmly over its whole surface, paying attention to both edges. Fit the next, then repeat with the last two. Look along the side from a few paces back to make sure the lines read evenly.
Looking after it
Once the cure time has passed, wash the covers along with the rest of the GLC using ordinary car soap and a soft mitt. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh polishing compounds on the stainless, and dry it with a clean towel so water spots don't dull the shine. Look over the edges after the first few washes, and call if any edge has lifted.
