Product Description
Explorer, Sport Trac, Mountaineer & Aviator Six-Cover Pillar Post Trim, No Keyless Pad (PP42643)
PP42643 is a six-cover pillar set in polished 26 gauge 304 stainless, made in the USA and priced at $89.99. Its note says "Does not include keyless entry touch pad." The title and the fitment record list the Ford Explorer 2002-2010, Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2007-2010, Mercury Mountaineer 2002-2010 and Lincoln Aviator 2003-2005, all tagged 4-door, SUV, Truck.
Which version you want depends on that keypad note. The other six-cover set, PP42642, is noted as including the keyless entry touch pad. There's also a four-cover pair: PP42641 without it and PP42640 with it. The listing doesn't explain what the note changes, so look carefully at each gallery against your own posts. We're glad to help over the phone if the photos leave a question.
Years differ by model, so use your own row. Explorer and Mountaineer: 2002-2010. Sport Trac: 2007-2010. Aviator: 2003-2005. If your records falls outside that, the listing doesn't include your vehicle.
Call Quality Automotive Trims on 877-752-3811 with PP42643, your model and year. Describing the post where a keypad could be helps us match it to the right photos.
These covers are for looks only. Each lies over a post next to the side windows while the doors, glass and weatherstrip carry on unchanged. The stainless resists corrosion by its 304 makeup, with no plating involved.
Each of the six attaches with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape directly to the paint or trim on the post today. There's nothing to drill and nothing to unclip. For the temperature range and cure time, check the Installation tab.
A good bond starts with a clean, solid surface. Clear off wax and polish, and fix chalky, cracked or peeling paint first. Wash with car soap, rinse, allow to dry, and wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths, using fresh folds until one comes up spotless. Run your fingers over the posts to find dents.
Before starting on the Explorer, Mountaineer, Sport Trac or Aviator, put car soap and a bucket within reach, along with rubbing alcohol, a thick pile of lint-free cloths, a roll of painter's tape and a pencil. A helper who can stand back and watch the edges makes six alignments far less of a chore, and saves a lot of stepping back and forth.
Fit them out of the sun on a dry, still day. Lay all six out against the gallery and contact us if any is damaged or missing. Mark each with painter's tape for the post its photo shows. With the liner on, offer a cover to its post and adjust until the margin is even, then outline it. Peel, set it within the outline and press hard along its length and down both edges. Look at it from a few steps away before going on.
If a cover sits proud or rocks, keep that liner on and ring 877-752-3811 before pressing further. After the cure, wash the six with car soap and water, then dry them with a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
