Preparing the posts. The tape sticks to the top layer, so make sure it's sound: take off wax and polish, and repair chalky, crazed or peeling paint. Wash with car soap, rinse, let it dry, then wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths, switching to clean cloth until nothing shows. Note any dents as you work around the six, since a polished cover won't disguise them and it's easier to deal with them first.
Kit. Car soap and a bucket, rubbing alcohol, a pile of lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil to label each cover. A helper standing back from the sedan can keep the six lined up consistently and save you stepping back after every one.
Installation. Shade, dry air and no wind. Lay out the six next to the gallery and contact us about any damage or missing piece. Label each with painter's tape for the post its photo shows. Liner on, place a cover on that post, slide it until the margin is even and tape the outline. Peel, set it in the outline and press firmly along its full length and both edges. Compare with the photo before moving on to the next.
If one won't seat. Keep its liner on and phone 877-752-3811 rather than forcing it. Once cured, the six wash with car soap and water and dry with a soft towel.
