What changes. Only looks. A thin bright panel goes over each post between the side windows; doors, glass and seals carry on as normal. The 304 grade resists corrosion by itself rather than through plating.
Attachment. The Fit's six covers go on with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry each pillar before fitting. No holes, no trim pulled. See the Installation tab for the temperature range and cure time.
Getting ready. Check each of the six posts with your fingertips and eyes for powdery chalk, crazing, a raised corner or a waxy film, and fix what you find, since the tape sticks to that surface and nothing beneath it. Wash, rinse, dry completely, and rub each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths until one comes away white.
Kit. Car soap and a bucket, alcohol, plenty of cloths, painter's tape, a pencil, a towel to rest the covers on, and a helper standing back from the hatchback to watch alignment.
Fitting. On a dry, still day, park the hatchback in shade. Match each cover to its photo and ring us about anything bent or missing. Set the six Fit covers out beside the images. Backing on, offer each cover up, adjust until the margins agree, and outline it in painter's tape, all six before peeling. Two at a time, peel, place the cover in its outline, and press firmly along the length and edges.
Problems and aftercare. A cover that won't sit flat keeps its backing while you phone 877-752-3811. When the cure time has passed, the six covers simply go through the Fit's normal car-soap wash and get dried with a soft towel.
