Product Description
Six-Piece Pillar Post Trim for the 2011-2019 Ford Explorer, Includes Keyless Touch Pad (PP51331)
Six covers, polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, made in the USA, $84.49: that's PP51331 for the Ford Explorer. Its fitment row reads Ford Explorer 2011-2019, tagged 4-door, SUV, and the record attaches the note "Includes keyless entry touch pad."
That note is what separates it from PP51333, another six-cover Explorer set at the same price, which is noted "Does not include keyless touch pad." There are matching four-cover versions too: PP51330 with the touch pad note and PP51332 without. Beyond those few words, the record gives no description of how the versions differ, and it doesn't name the posts or list widths for any of them. So the practical check is twofold. Look closely at the gallery photos for this set and for PP51333, and look at your own Explorer to see whether it has a keyless entry touch pad. If you still can't tell which suits you, ring us before ordering rather than after.
Also linked to this Explorer row is TH51330, a six-piece upper rocker panel kit. It's sold separately on its own listing and doesn't come with these covers.
The row covers 2011 through 2019. Check your records, and if your Explorer falls outside those years, it isn't listed here. Quality Automotive Trims answers on 877-752-3811; give us PP51331, the year and what you've found about the touch pad.
The six are cosmetic covers. They change the look of the posts and leave the doors, glass and weatherstrip as they were. The 304 alloy is what resists corrosion, with no plating involved.
All six mount with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape over each post's present surface. Nothing is drilled and nothing is removed from the Ford. The temperature window and the cure time are on the Installation tab.
Prepare the six posts first, and set aside a good stretch of time for it. Wash with car soap, rinse well and dry with a clean towel. Strip wax, sealant and polish. Fix paint that's powdery, cracked or peeling, since the tape holds only as well as that layer. Wipe with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloth, refolding until nothing comes off, and run a finger along each post for dents. Keep painter's tape and a pencil nearby.
Pick a dry, windless day out of direct sun. Lay the six beside their photos and tell us straight away about anything damaged. Tape a number at each post. One cover at a time, liner on, offer it up, ease it until the gap is even all round and box it in with tape. Then remove the liner, set the cover inside the box and press hard across its face and down both edges. Step back and check it, looking for an even gap and flat edges, before the next.
A cover that tips or won't settle keeps its liner on while you call 877-752-3811. Once the tape cures, clean the set with car soap and water and a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
