Prep
Soapy wash, rinse, dry. Rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cloth, then a minute to evaporate. Take wax and coatings off the contact areas, and repair any chipped finish first.
The fitting itself
Give the six Accent pieces a place on a towel before starting. Hold each one up with its backing on. When its edges follow the pillar, mark both ends with painter's tape and label the backing. If it doesn't fit, check whether it belongs in another spot. Dry-fit all six before peeling any. Polished stainless is the finish on the Accent kit's six covers.
Then peel one backing at a time, place the piece between its marks, and press firmly along the length and down both edges. Start with three, finish the remaining three, then check the whole set from a few feet off. The Installation tab gives the temperature range and the cure time to wait before washing.
Light and help
Work in open shade or a bright garage so glare doesn't hide a crooked edge. A helper standing back can tell you whether each piece sits level.
