Product Description
Six-Cover Stainless Pillar Post Trim for the Chevrolet Sonic Sedan, 2012-2020 (PP53121)
The set. PP53121 brings the Chevrolet Sonic sedan six pillar post covers, priced at $62.49. Every cover is 26 gauge 304 stainless steel with a polished face, and the set is made in the USA. The record lists a single fitment row for it: Chevrolet Sonic 2012-2020, tagged 4-door, Sedan.
Sedan tag only. This row carries no Hatchback tag. The linked four-cover set, PP53120, is tagged 4-door, Sedan, Hatchback, but this six-cover set isn't. We're not reading anything into that beyond what the record says. If your Sonic is a hatchback, please call us before ordering this set so we can check it with you.
Four or six. PP53120 is the only other item linked to this record. Neither set names its posts or gives widths, so compare the two galleries, then look at your own car's posts and decide how many you'd like dressed. If you can't tell from the photos, ask us.
Year. The row runs 2012 through 2020. Check your records; a Sonic from another year isn't covered here, so confirm the year on your own car before you order anything.
Getting in touch. Quality Automotive Trims, 877-752-3811. Mention PP53121, your model year and the body style, and we'll go over the record and photos together before you order.
Cosmetic only. The six change the look of the posts and nothing about the doors, glass or seals. The 304 alloy resists corrosion by its own composition, with no coating.
How they mount. Each cover mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape laid over the post's current paint or trim. There are no holes to drill and no Chevrolet trim to unclip. The Installation tab gives the temperature window and the cure period.
Preparing the posts. Have painter's tape, a pencil, rubbing alcohol, car-soap water and plenty of lint-free cloths ready. On all six posts, lift wax, sealant and polish, and repair paint that's powdery, cracked or peeling, since the tape holds only as well as that layer. Wash, rinse and dry. Wipe each post with rubbing alcohol until a fresh fold shows nothing, and run a fingertip along for dents.
Fitting. First, choose a shady, still, dry day and check the six against their photos, reporting any damage at once. Second, give each cover a post and mark a number there on tape. Third, liner on, offer one cover up, move it until the margin is even and trace round it. Fourth, peel the liner, set the cover in the tracing and press hard end to end and down both edges. Step back to check it before the next.
If one won't settle, or it lifts at an end the moment you let go, resist the urge to press harder or trim it. Keep that cover's liner on, lay it aside on a clean towel and ring us at 877-752-3811 so we can look into it with you. Once the tape on the others has cured, the Sonic's six need only a car-soap wash and a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
