- Wax and polish: wax-and-grease remover
- Chips, rust or lifting paint: repair, then let it cure
- Final wipe: isopropyl alcohol just before fitting
The molding as the top edge
Each piece meets the molding along its top. Check the molding is present, straight and secure on all four doors before ordering.
Dry fit
Use painter's tape to hold each piece in place between the molding and the door bottom. Open every door and check the ends clear.
Pressing on
Peel the liner back a few inches at a time, press, and continue. Finish with firm pressure along the whole piece.
Spacing on the Audi
Hold the Audi spacing consistent on every piece.
Taking it slowly
Fit one door, step back, and check the line before moving on. It's far easier to adjust a piece before the liner comes off.
Conditions
Mild, dry and out of direct sun. Don't wash the car for a day afterward.

Tools to have ready
