Order of work

Paint prep on the Focus
Give each opening a careful clean. A bucket wash and rinse first, then a dry with a clean towel, then a pause while the lip drains. Now look along the band the trim will cover. Paint that's smooth and bare is ready; anything else (old glue, wax smears, a lifted chip) is removed or repaired. Wax-and-grease remover goes over the band next. The isopropyl alcohol wipe is done only when its piece is in your other hand.
Bonding the pieces
Line the first piece up with its backing still in place and anchor each end with painter's tape. Lower yourself to the arch's height and follow the gasket around: it should touch the opening the whole way. Lift the backing an inch at the trailing end, press, and continue forward. When the piece is down, run firm pressure along it end to end. Then the corner opposite, and compare the pair.
Arrival and care
Count four pieces and check each gasket edge on arrival. After fitting, wait a day before washing; then mild soap and a soft cloth, and keep pressure-washer spray off the gasket. Questions: 877-752-3811.
