Order of work
Choose any door on the Focus to start. Fit both of its pieces, step back to check them against the door's lines, and only then move on. Work around the car one door at a time so the pieces never get mixed up.
Why stainless at the handles
The handle area takes the most contact of any spot on the door. Polished stainless there frames each Focus handle brightly while the factory handles stay in place and work as before.
Conditions
Choose a dry, mild day in the shade. If the Focus was waxed lately, degrease the handle areas twice, and keep it dry overnight after fitting.
Care
Wash and dry the stainless with a soft towel. Skip abrasive pads, which can dull the polish.
