Surface check
Run a hand along each window top on the hatchback. Old tape residue, wax build-up or loose paint will stop the bond, so clear those first.
Cleaning
Wash and dry the Prius. Just before each piece goes on, wipe its frame top with a wax-and-grease remover and then isopropyl alcohol. Only the tops need it for this set.
Fitting the four
Hold the first piece along its frame with the liner still attached and mark both ends with small strips of painter's tape. Close the door gently to make sure the piece doesn't touch anything. Then lift an inch of liner, press that end down on its mark, and work along the frame peeling and pressing. Do the rest the same way, checking that the polished line looks even down the side of the car.
