Product Description
Chrome Door Handle Covers with 4 Smart Key Access Points for Chevrolet and GMC, 8 Pieces (DH54137)
Some kits say only that they include smart key access. DH54137 is specific: QAA's note reads "Includes 4 smart key access points." This eight-piece chrome door handle cover kit is listed for seven Chevrolet and GMC four-door models, molded from polished chrome-plated ABS plastic, imported, and attached with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape.
Four touch points
With four smart key access points across eight covers, this kit is aimed at vehicles whose handles carry keyless-entry sensors. The catalog does not say which covers carry them, so use the product photos to see where the openings sit, and compare them with your own handles before ordering. The listing has no note on a key cylinder opening.
Where it fits
The rows on file include:
- Chevrolet Impala, 2014-2020
- Chevrolet Blazer, from 2019 (rows end 2020, 2024 or 2025)
- Chevrolet Equinox, 2018-2024
- Malibu rows begin in 2016 and end in 2024, 2025 or 2026
- Chevrolet Traverse, 2018-2023
- GMC Acadia, 2017-2023
- GMC Terrain, 2018-2024
Most rows carry a combined body list of sedan and SUV along with "Does not fit the Limited," and the Blazer and Malibu repeat with different end years. We have flagged these. If your vehicle sits near the end of a range, or you drive an Impala Limited, call before ordering. The Fitment tab lists every row as recorded.
Laying out the kit
Before any cleaning, spread all eight covers out and pick out the four with smart-key openings. Match each of those to its handle, then place the remaining four by door. Let the photos guide each placement rather than assuming a pattern, since the catalog does not spell one out.
Material
Each cover is ABS plastic molded to the handle shape, then chrome-plated and polished. The factory handles continue to work under the covers.
Install and test
QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Wash, degrease and dry each handle. Dry-fit each cover and make sure each opening lines up over its sensor. Press it down firmly along every edge. Then test the keyless entry at all four doors before the tape has time to set. The Installation tab covers the details.
Placement aid
Small strips of painter's tape around each dry-fitted cover make a target for the final press, which helps because foam tape grabs on contact.
Why buyers want the openings
A solid chrome cover would sit right over a keyless-entry sensor. A kit with access points leaves those spots open, so the new look does not change how you get into the vehicle each morning. That convenience is the whole reason this version exists.
Weather and upkeep
Work on a dry, mild day in the shade, keep the vehicle dry overnight, and wash the chrome with mild soap and a soft towel afterward. Abrasive pads scratch plating.

Installation tips: Door Handle Cover Kit
- Unpack all 8 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
