Product Description
Chrome Door Handle Covers, 8 Pieces, for Chevrolet Equinox, HHR, Malibu and GMC Terrain, No Passenger Key Access (DH48105)
DH48105 is an eight-piece chrome door handle cover kit shared by four GM models: the Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet HHR, Chevrolet Malibu, and GMC Terrain. QAA's note reads "Does not include passenger key access," so the passenger-side cover has no keyhole. All rows are four-door, and the covers are polished chrome-plated ABS plastic, imported.
Model-by-model years
- Chevrolet Equinox, 2010-2017 (eight model years)
- GMC Terrain, 2010-2017 (eight model years)
- Chevrolet HHR, 2006-2011 (six model years)
- Chevrolet Malibu, 2008-2012 (five model years)
The ranges do not line up across models, so match your vehicle's name and year to the same row. The body field on each row lists SUV, wagon, and sedan together, so it does not separate the models; go by the model name and year. The Fitment tab shows each row as QAA records it.
The passenger lock
The passenger cover is solid. Check your passenger front door for a lock cylinder before ordering. If there is none, this kit matches. If there is one, a solid cover would block it, so call us first.
Eight pieces
The kit covers four doors with eight pieces. The catalog does not label them, so use the product photos to group them by door, and keep the passenger piece apart so it lands on the passenger handle.
Chrome-plated ABS
ABS is a tough molded plastic. These covers are chrome plated and polished, and their molded shape surrounds each handle with bright chrome.
Install
The covers attach with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Wash each handle area, degrease it to remove wax, and let it dry completely. Dry-fit each piece first, then press it firmly for several seconds so the 3M tape grips. Keep the vehicle dry overnight. The Installation tab has full instructions.
Several cars, one kit
A household with an Equinox and a Malibu, or a business with a few Terrains, can use the same part number for each, as long as every vehicle sits inside its listed years and has no passenger lock cylinder.
Alignment habits
Set each cover lightly first, step back a few paces, and look at it against the door's lines. Only then press it home along its full outline. Finish one door before starting the next so the pieces never get mixed up.
Conditions
Foam tape bonds best on clean, dry paint at a mild temperature. Avoid direct sun and cold mornings, and degrease a recently waxed Equinox twice.
Why add them
Door handles are a high-touch spot, and the finish around them wears first. Chrome covers give the area a fresh look while the handles keep working as before.
Care
Wash and dry the chrome with a soft towel once the tape has set. Skip abrasive pads, which can scratch the plating.

Installation tips: Door Handle Cover Kit
- Unpack all 8 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
