Not every truck owner wants chrome. DH55309B gives the four-door Ford F-150 and Super Duty a blacked-out handle treatment instead: twelve pieces of polished gloss black ABS plastic, covering the handles and, per QAA's note, the base surround behind them. It suits trucks where black trim, black wheels or a darker theme is already the direction.

Two rows appear in QAA's data for this kit. The Ford F-150 is listed from 2015 to 2020, and the Ford F-250 & F-350 Super Duty from 2017 to 2022. Both are tagged 4-door pickup truck. The Fitment tab has the exact rows.
Openings in the black kit
The note reads "Includes two smart key access points, Does not include passenger key access." So two of the covers are cut to leave the keyless-entry touch sensors open, and the passenger-side handle has no key cylinder opening. The catalog does not say which handles carry the smart key cutouts. Spot them in the photos or during the dry fit, and check each against a sensor on your truck.
The keyhole version
QAA also lists DH55310B, another 12pc gloss black kit with a base surround for the same 4-door pickups. Its notes say "Includes Keyhole cutout" and do not mention smart key access points. If your truck has touch sensors on the handles, DH55309B is the black kit whose notes mention them. If you rely on a keyhole instead, look at DH55310B. When the photos leave you unsure, call.
What gloss black ABS is
ABS is a rigid plastic that holds a molded shape well. Here it's finished in gloss black and polished, rather than plated. The kit is imported. Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, and QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle.
Laying out the pieces
Twelve parts across four doors is easier to manage if you sort them before you start. Group each door's surround and handle cover together, and set the two smart key pieces aside so you can place them deliberately. Then work one door at a time around the Super Duty, so pieces never get mixed up.
Application
- Clean each handle and its surrounding paint with soap and water.
- Degrease and allow the area to dry fully.
- Dry-fit by hand and mark the positions with painter's tape.
- Set each piece on its marks and press around the edges.
- Test keyless entry at both smart key handles straight away.
Choose a mild, dry day, keep out of direct sun, and leave the truck dry overnight. The Installation tab repeats the prep in more detail.
Keeping it glossy
Gloss black shows swirl marks if it is scrubbed. Wash it with mild soap and a soft microfiber towel, and keep abrasive pads and harsh compounds off it.
