Confirm the door shuts flush.
The process
Start with a wash and rinse, dry the door, and then wipe it with degreaser until your cloth stays clean. Rehearse the placement with the liner on, sliding the trim until there's an equal border of paint all around it, then mark that position with painter's tape. Peel the liner and lower the trim straight onto the marks. Press firmly across the whole surface and again after a minute. Open the door slowly to check it clears. The Installation tab has more.
Finish and care
Polished 304 stainless has a bright, reflective look, and 26 gauge keeps it slim. Install on a mild, dry day and let it cure overnight. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth, and wipe off fuel drips.
