Set the trim against the closed door without removing the liner and move it until there's a uniform border of paint around it. Painter's tape on the body marks the spot. Remove the liner, put the trim back to the marks, and press it down firmly across every part, then once more after about a minute. Open the door slowly to make sure it clears. The polished 304 stainless has a bright, mirror-like finish, and the 26 gauge sheet sits close to the door. Pick a mild, dry day to install and let the tape set overnight. Afterward, clean it with mild soap and a soft cloth, and wipe away fuel drips.
