Four CTS pillar sets, two kinds. PP54251 is the six-cover version of this set. Two further sets, PP54444 (four covers) and PP54445 (six), carry the note "LONG VERSION - please refer to the accompanying image". Cosmetic change. These four covers only affect appearance. The Cadillac's doors, side glass and seals behave just as before. The 304 alloy resists corrosion by itself, with no plated layer to lift.
How it attaches. Every cover mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape pressed onto the existing post surface. No drilling, and nothing comes off the CTS. Temperatures and cure time are on the Installation tab.
Clean posts. Wash each post with car-soap water, rinse and dry completely. Remove any wax, sealant or polish. Paint that's chalky, cracked or flaking needs repairing first, because the tape grips that coat and nothing beneath. Wipe with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloth, refolding until it comes away clean, then feel along each post for dents.
Putting them on. Choose a dry, calm day in shade. Compare the four with the gallery, checking especially that they match the non-long photos, and report any damage straight away. Dry-fit each with its liner on, centre it, mask the outline with low-tack painter's tape and number each mask. Then fit one at a time: liner off, into the mask, firm pressure along the length and both edges. Lift the masks when all four are done and look along each border.
Problems. If one of the covers won't sit flat on your CTS, keep its liner on and phone 877-752-3811 instead of forcing it. Once cured, the Cadillac's covers need car soap, water and a soft towel.
