Toyota Tundra 2014-2020 Polished Stainless Gas Door Trim (GC14145)
GC14145 covers the fuel door of the Toyota Tundra pickup with a single piece of polished 304 stainless steel. The fitment runs 2014 through 2020 and includes both 2-door and 4-door trucks. It's 26 gauge, made in the USA, and it mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape.
Important warning
This is not a replacement cap and not a replacement part. You MUST have the existing gas door to install this piece. It bonds to the outside of the Tundra's fuel door and leaves the door, hinge and cap alone.

Mounting

Install notes
Wash the gas door face, rinse, wipe with degreaser, and let it dry. Close the door and dry-fit the trim with the liner still on, adjusting until the margin is even. Mark the spot on the body with painter's tape. Peel, align, and press firmly over every part of the face, then press again. Open and close the door to check clearance. Checking the door before you start
Open and close the fuel door a few times. It should swing freely and sit flush when shut. Look over the paint on its face as well. The tape bonds to whatever is underneath, so peeling clear coat or a chipped edge should be fixed first. A sound door means the trim lies flat and stays put.
A simple first project
Several of the Tundra pieces above are long or multi-part. The gas door trim is one flat piece, so it's a good way to get comfortable with the peel-and-press process before tackling a tailgate accent or a molding kit.
Timing
A dry day with moderate temperatures works best. Keep the door dry overnight.

Mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Wipe fuel drips off after filling.
