For the install, give the door a wash with soapy water, rinse, and dry. Then degrease the face until the cloth comes away clean. With the liner still covering the tape, lay the trim on the closed door and shift it until the paint visible around it is even all the way around. A couple of pieces of painter's tape on the body mark the location. Peel the liner, line up with the marks, and press firmly over the whole trim; after a minute, press it again. Polished 304 stainless looks bright and reflective, and the 26 gauge sheet stays thin on the door. Do the job on a mild, dry day and keep the truck dry overnight. Afterward, mild soap, a soft cloth and a quick wipe of fuel splashes are all the care it needs.
