Installing takes only a few minutes. Wash the door with soap and water, rinse it, and dry it completely, then wipe the face with degreaser until the cloth comes up clean. With the liner still on, hold the trim against the closed door and slide it until you see an even band of paint around it. Mark the location with a couple of short strips of painter's tape. Peel the liner, line the trim up with the tape, and press it down firmly over every part of its face. Press once more after a minute. Open the door slowly to make sure it clears. Polished 304 stainless has a bright, reflective look, and the 26 gauge sheet keeps it close to the door. Choose a mild, dry day for the job, then let the tape set overnight. Clean afterward with mild soap and a soft cloth, wiping off any fuel that splashes on it.
