GC49340 is not a replacement cap or a replacement part. The 2009-2019 Flex's own gas door has to stay in place, because the stainless trim covers its outer face.

Fitting it. Wash the door, rinse it, dry it, and go over the face with degreaser. Set the trim on the closed door without peeling anything, and move it until the band of paint around it is equal everywhere. A strip of painter's tape at two corners records the spot. Finish and care. Polished 304 stainless has a bright, reflective look; 26 gauge keeps it thin. Choose a mild, dry day and let it set overnight. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth, and wipe fuel spills.
