Install routine
Wash the door face, rinse, wipe with degreaser, and dry thoroughly. With the door closed and the liner on, set the trim in place and adjust until the border is even. Step back and look again. Mark the position on the body with painter's tape. Peel the liner, line up, and press firmly over the whole face. Press again a minute later. Best time to do it
A dry day with mild temperatures. Avoid cold paint and harsh direct sun. Keep the area dry overnight.
Getting it straight
Have a helper hold the trim during the dry fit while you step back a few feet. Look straight at it and then from a slight angle. If the border looks wider on one side, nudge it. Once you're happy, mark the spot before peeling, because repositioning after the tape touches paint is much harder.
Aftercare
Wash with mild soap and a soft cloth. Fuel that drips on it at the pump should be wiped off.
