Kia K5 2021-2026 Polished Stainless Gas Door Trim (GC71805)
Sized for the fuel door of the Kia K5 4-door Sedan, GC71805 covers model years 2021 through 2026, six years listed on one Fitment row. It's a single piece of polished 304 stainless steel, 26 gauge, made in the USA, and it mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape once the door is clean.
It is not a replacement cap and not a replacement part. You MUST have the existing gas door to install this piece. The stainless goes on top of the K5's own door as an accent.
There's no drilling with this part. It installs directly over the existing surface, held by the foam tape, and QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. The bond is only as reliable as the paint, so give the door a look first: chips at the edges, flaking clear coat, chalky or faded spots and bubbles should all be repaired, and the door should close flush.
A clean surface is the whole secret. Wash the door, rinse, and dry it, then go over it once with a degreaser to strip wax. Rest the trim on the shut door with its liner on and center it so the border of paint around it is even, then mark that position with painter's tape. Take off the liner, press the trim into place against the marks, and work firm pressure over the entire face; repeat after a minute for good measure. Open the door slowly to check clearance. The K5 sheet lists nine cross-listed pieces, all for the 4-door Sedan. Pillar post trim comes in three sizes, PP71805 (four pieces), PP71806 (six) and PP71807 (eight); QAA doesn't spell out what the larger sets include, so look at the photos. WS71805 is a six-piece window sill set that covers the face of the sills only. TH71805 is a four-piece lower rocker kit with a tapered width of 2.25" to 2.75", installed below the door, on the rocker. At the back, RB71805 is a one-piece rear bumper trim accent and RD71805 is a one-piece rear deck accent with a width of 1 inch. WQ71805 and LP71805 are listed by number only.
The tapered rocker kit is worth a second look if you're building a set: a width that changes from 2.25" to 2.75" means the band is not a constant width from end to end, so check its photos to see how it sits on the K5 before you order it alongside the gas door trim.
Polished 304 stainless reflects light brightly, and 26 gauge keeps the overlay thin. Pick a dry, mild day, and let the tape set overnight before washing. Keep it clean with mild soap and a soft cloth, wiping away fuel drips.
