Cadillac XT5 2017-2026 Polished Stainless Gas Door Trim (GC57260)
GC57260 fits the Cadillac XT5 4-door SUV across ten model years, 2017 through 2026. It's made from a single piece of 304 stainless steel, 26 gauge, polished, in the USA, and mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape.
GC57260 is not a replacement cap and not a replacement part. The XT5 has to keep its existing fuel door, which the stainless overlays.
The XT5 pillar sets on this sheet are a good example of why reading notes matters. There are four of them. PP57260 has four pieces and PP57261 six, with no notes, so QAA doesn't say what the two additional cover. PP57262 has ten pieces and includes two front pillars, in front of the mirror. PP57263 has twelve and includes two front pillars plus one triangle piece, also in front of the mirror. Put simply, the two larger sets reach forward of the mirrors, and the twelve-piece set has a triangle besides. Check the photos to see which coverage you want.

GC57260 installs directly over the existing surface, so there's no drilling. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Tape is only as good as the paint it sticks to, so inspect the door first. Fading, flaking or cloudy clear coat, chips at the edge, and bubbles should be repaired before the trim goes on. Confirm the door closes flush.
The install goes like this. Clean the door with soap and water, rinse, and let it dry; then wipe on degreaser until a clean cloth shows nothing. Rest the trim on the closed door with the liner still covering the tape, and shift it until the border of paint is even everywhere. Mark the position with painter's tape. Take off the liner, place the trim against the marks, and press firmly across every part of it. After a minute, press again. Open the door slowly to check it moves freely. Polished 304 stainless is bright and reflective, and the 26 gauge sheet sits close to the door. Install on a mild, dry day and allow the tape to set overnight. Clean with gentle soap and a soft cloth, and wipe away fuel drips.

- Unpack the piece and hold it in position to confirm the fit before mounting it.

- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
