Molding check

Material
The two Silverado Regular Cab inserts are polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel from the USA, pressed onto the existing side molding with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. According to QAA, the tape will hold for a lifetime without damaging the 2007-2008 truck.
Cleaning the strips
Wash, rinse and dry. Then isopropyl alcohol on each strip until the cloth stays clean.
Putting them on
Center an insert on the molding with painter's tape. Look at both ends and the line along the door. Peel a few inches of liner, press that end down, and continue as the liner comes out. Firm pressure from end to end to finish.
Placing both inserts
Measure the first insert's ends from the door edges and place the second one to match.

Open both doors to check nothing catches. A day before washing.

Mild soap and a soft mitt keep the Silverado pair clean.
