Material
On the Verano, two 1.25" strips of USA-made polished 26 gauge 304 stainless are pressed on below the doors using 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. Per QAA, the tape will hold for a lifetime and leaves the Buick unharmed.
Setting a straight line
A narrow strip shows every wobble, so mark a guide first. Run painter's tape along the rocker where the top edge should go and check it from both corners of the car.
Clean
Scrub the Verano rocker with soapy water, rinse, dry, and wipe with isopropyl alcohol.
Laying the strip
With a helper holding the far end on the guide, peel the liner from the near end and press as you go. Open the doors to check clearance before the final press.
Placing the Verano strips
Measure from the front wheel opening to each Verano strip end.
Conditions and care
Install on a dry, mild day. Wait a day before washing, then use mild soap and a soft cloth.
