Picturing the line
With a tape measure held at the underside of the molding, read down to just under five inches (4.875") and press a short strip of painter's tape there. Do it at the front, middle and rear of the door and once on the rear quarter if the photos show pieces there. Now look at the car from ten feet away. That tape line is the lower edge of the finished trim.

Molding check
An Upper Kit is only as straight as the molding it hangs from. Run your fingers along the molding's lower lip; reattach any section that has lifted.
Cleaning the band
Car soap, rinse, dry. Then isopropyl alcohol across the 4.875" band below the molding, twice, with clean cloths. The molding's lower edge traps wax; work a cloth corner along it.
Hanging each piece
Butt the top edge to the molding with the liner on and check the bottom from a step back. Peel the first few inches, set it, then continue, pressing firmly as you go. Swing the door after each piece.
Reading evenly from the front
Measuring from the door gap, keep each piece's position consistent so the car reads evenly from the front.

If something looks off
Stop before you peel. A piece that won't sit flat against the panel, an end that overhangs the door gap, or a bottom edge that wanders from your tape line are all easier to sort out with the liner still on. Take a photo and call us; we'd rather look at it with you than have you force a fit.
