Material
The six 2004-2009 SRX molding inserts are USA-made polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, 2" to 2.5" wide, pressed in with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape over the existing surface. QAA says that tape will hold for a lifetime with no damage to the Cadillac SUV.
Getting a molding ready for tape
Any shine product left on the molding will come between it and the adhesive. After a normal wash and dry, give the molding face several alcohol passes, each with a clean section of cloth, and stop only when the cloth shows no residue.
Six pieces

Fit and press
Hold each insert on with a couple of strips of painter's tape and look along it: both long edges should sit the same distance in from the molding's edges. When they do, lift one end, pull back a short length of liner, lay it down, and keep working toward the other end. Press hard over the whole insert at the end.
Afterward
Swing each door and watch the insert ends pass the gaps. Hold off washing for a day.
Care
Mild soap and a soft mitt. Keep trim dressing off the steel.
