Product Description
Kia Sportage 2017-2022 Four-Piece Pillar Post Trim (PP17835)
PP17835 is the four-piece starting point in QAA's pillar trim for the 2017-2022 Kia Sportage 4-door SUV. There are four Sportage pillar sets, at 4, 6, 8 and 10 pieces, and the two larger ones carry notes about further shapes this set doesn't mention.
Where the notes are
The eight-piece PP17837 says it "Includes front mirror pieces." The ten-piece PP17838 says it "Includes front mirror pieces and front triangle pieces." This set and the six-piece PP17836 have no notes. So if front mirror pieces or front triangle pieces are what you want, look at those two larger sets; this listing doesn't name them. None of the four says which pillars its main covers go on, so compare the galleries for outlines that appear in one and not the others, and order a single set. If a larger Sportage set appeals too, compare the photos or call 877-752-3811 before ordering both.
When four is enough
If the four outlines in this gallery give you the look you want, there's no need for a bigger set. It's the shortest install of the four Sportage options and is listed at $73.49, which also makes it a sensible way to see polished stainless on the vehicle before planning anything more.
Fitment
One row: Kia Sportage, 2017 through 2022, tagged 4-door and SUV. Every Sportage set on this sheet shares 2017-2022, PP17835 included. If your vehicle doesn't match, call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 with PP17835 before ordering.
Material and mounting
Four covers in 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, polished, made in the USA. They mount with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape directly over the existing surface, so you won't drill or take off any trim. The finish is the polished steel itself, with no plated layer to flake.
Two body side accents to choose between
The Sportage sheet lists two four-piece body side molding accents with the same width of 1: AT17835, noted "Lower fitment," and AT17836, noted "Upper fitment." The listings don't explain exactly where each sits, so look at the photos of both before picking one, and call if the difference isn't clear.
Other Sportage pieces
Also on the sheet: DH17836, a four-piece door handle accent trim, and RD17835, a one-piece rear deck accent at width 1 for the back of this SUV. RW17835 and LB17835 are linked by number only.
Preparation
Choose a dry, mild day and a shaded spot. Wash the pillar areas with car shampoo, rinse and dry. Wipe each with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth and let it evaporate. Remove wax, sealant or ceramic coating where tape will sit.
Fitting
Count four on arrival and compare them with the photos. Compare every Sportage cover with the photos. With liners on, hold each to its pillar, check both edges, and mark the position with painter's tape. Peel one liner, align the cover with your marks, and press firmly along its length and both edges. The following cover goes on next. The Installation tab gives the temperature range and cure time.
Should a cover refuse to sit flat, leave its liner on and phone 877-752-3811.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 4 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
