Doing it well
Wash the pillars with soapy water, rinse, and dry. Follow with a rubbing alcohol wipe on a lint-free cloth and let it evaporate. Any wax or coating where tape will land has to come off.
Eight pieces reward a little organisation. Hold each of the eight Sonata covers in place with its liner on, and label the liner once you're sure. Painter's tape at each end of each pillar gives you a target. Peel one, press it firmly along its length, run a fingertip down the edges, then move to the next. Compare sides before you call it done. Care
For cleaning, mild soap on a soft cloth works; keep abrasive pads and steel wool away.
