Cleaning for full-length pieces
Full-length pieces run right to the bottom of each opening, so the lower ends of every arch, where spray and grit collect, need as much attention as the top. Wash each arch with a soft mitt and shampoo, rinse, dry and leave it to drain. With a lamp, look over the whole band from end to end, removing old adhesive with a plastic scraper and treating any chips. Wax-and-grease remover across the band; isopropyl alcohol on each section immediately before it's fitted.
Fitting
- Lay the six pieces out by position, using the photos.
- At the first opening, hold the pieces in place on their liners with painter's tape, looking at the gasket line and the joins.
- Start at one lower end. Peel a short length and press.
- Keep going over the arch in short sections to the opposite lower end.
- Repeat on each opening and press everything once more.
Arrival and care
Count six pieces on arrival with liners left on. After fitting, a day before washing; then mild soap and a soft cloth, no pressure-washer spray on the gasket. Any piece that won't sit as shown: call 877-752-3811.
