Cleaning the sills
Raise all four windows. Wash the sills with warm water and car shampoo on a soft cloth, wipe with clean water and let them dry. Look along each one for wax, polish or old adhesive and clear it with wax-and-grease remover and a plastic scraper. Wipe each sill with isopropyl alcohol just before fitting.
Fitting the four
