Sill cleaning
Wind each window fully closed. Using a soft cloth and shampoo solution, clean along the sills and gently into the edge of the glass seal. Wipe off with a damp cloth and dry well. Hold a lamp low across each sill to show up polish film, wax and any adhesive; scrape adhesive off with plastic only. Wipe with wax-and-grease remover, and with isopropyl alcohol just before fitting each piece.
Fitting
Start at a front door. Tape the piece in place with its liner on and compare both ends with the photos. Peel the liner a few inches from the front end and press, then draw it out rearward while pressing the face down. Press the full length again. Continue round the car in the order you labelled.
Arrival and care
Count six pieces on arrival. After fitting, keep windows shut for a day and hold off washing; then mild soap and a soft cloth. On the day, have painter's tape, a plastic scraper, a lamp and both cleaners ready. If a piece won't sit as shown, phone 877-752-3811 with SKU WS11805 and UPC 691821722747 before exposing its tape. After fitting, walk around the Optima from a step back.
Sills and pillars together
With no Optima window package, pairing this set with PP11805 or PP11806 is the way to trim both. Compare the pillar photos with your doors, and if you're doing both on the same day, ask 877-752-3811 which to fit first.
