Preparing the sills
Shut every window. Clean each sill with shampoo solution on a soft cloth, working right into the edge by the glass. Wipe off with a damp cloth and dry. A lamp will show polish residue, wax and adhesive; take adhesive off with a plastic scraper. Finish with wax-and-grease remover, then isopropyl alcohol immediately before each piece.
Fitting
- Label the six liners by window from the photos.
- Tape the first piece on its sill, liner on; check both ends.
- Peel back at one end and press, then draw the liner along while pressing.
- Press the whole piece again.
- Continue window by window.
Arrival and care

On the day
Gather painter's tape, a plastic scraper, a lamp, wax-and-grease remover, isopropyl alcohol and clean microfibres. Lay the six Sorento pieces beside the photos, liners on, and confirm each window.
