Preparing the sills
Close every window fully. Wash along each sill with car shampoo on a soft cloth, working into the edge where the glass meets the seal without pulling on the seal. Rinse with a damp cloth rather than a hose so water doesn't run inside the door, and dry. Under a lamp, check each sill surface for wax, polish residue and old adhesive, clearing glue with a plastic scraper. Wipe with wax-and-grease remover, then isopropyl alcohol just before each piece.
Fitting

- Hold the first piece on its sill, liner on, with two tabs of painter's tape. Check both ends line up with the photos.
- Peel the liner back a few inches at the front end and press.
- Draw the liner out toward the rear while pressing along the 0.5" face.
- Press the full length again before the next piece.
